Extreme weather has been a hot topic lately.

While the meteorology blogs have been focusing on the recent hurricanes, there are some interesting areas of discussion outside of these extreme events.

1. Cliff Mass

Dr. Cliff Mass is a University of Washington Professor of Atmospheric Sciences.  He gives a 5-minute feature, “Weather with Cliff Mass,” on Fridays at 9am on KNKX — Seattle’s NPR station.

4. The Old Farmer’s Almanac

The Old Farmer’s Almanac has been a go-to since 1792 for year-long weather predictions, ranging from sunrise and tide tables to planting charts and more.
