Blog Profiles: Zombie Blogs

Welcome to Blog Profiles! Each week, we select a topic and handful of blogs that do a great job contributing to the conversation. This week’s roundup features a few of our favorite zombie blogs, because why not? Do you have a blog that deserves recognition? Tweet our writers at @BeyondBylines.

In honor of the recent release of Resident Evil 2, I thought I would do my blog post about zombies (and zombie preparedness today).

Apparently, zombies have played such a key role in our culture that the CDC even has a zombie preparedness blog post used to raise public awareness of emergency preparedness.

To protect yourself, here’s a bunch of blogs that also educate on the pending apocalypse.

1. Zombies in My Blog

This is a geeky horror blog with a focus on Zombies. This blog is a little different from other blogs because it focuses on everything involved in pop culture (including the recent resurrection of Brooklyn 99). But there is a focus on recent releases of zombie-themed books, television shows, movies, and more.

2. The Zombie Lifestyle

The Zombie Lifestyle is run by a Canadian mom, who is just trying to make sure everyone stays safe in the event of the zombie apocalypse. Inspired by The Zombie Survival Guide, this blog provides tips on surviving the impending apocalypse (that actually look pretty handy for any other apocalypse-type, or generally annoying, situations).

3.  Zombie Research Society

This website is a collection of people educating about zombies and connecting them to the modern world (and science).

The Zombie Research Society is a membership only collective that employs experts to fight the inevitable apocalypse. It also contributes reviews of modern pop culture zombie media.

4. Zombie Survival Group

I was hesitant to add this one, as it hasn’t updated as recently, but I thought the concept was interesting enough to include.

This is a zombie apocalypse boot camp that focuses on teaching survival techniques for the upcoming apocalypse. This site features articles that different campers have written, with a very different style for each writer, which I find to be pretty interesting.

Some posts I found interesting were: My Favourite Cinematic Zombie Survivor, BUTCHER’S BISTRO: Bulk Barn Soylent
