Magic Is Here as Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks Prepare to Welcome Guests Again

Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are preparing for a phased reopening – with significant reduction in capacity – beginning July 11, with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will follow July 15.

CEO Confidence Improved in Q2 2020

The Conference Board Measure of CEO Confidence, which declined to 34 in the first quarter of 2020, increased to a reading of 44 in the second quarter. (A reading of more than 50 points reflects more positive than negative responses.)  “Amid historic unemployment, business growth challenges, a weak economic environment, and a pandemic that persists, it comes as no surprise that CEOs feel grim about the current lay of the land,” said Lynn Franco, senior director of economic indicators at the Conference Board.

Remember to practice social distancing (stay 6 feet apart from others you don’t live with) and follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s safety precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19, a respiratory illness that is spread from person-to-person, unlike foodborne viruses that can make people sick from contaminated food.  Also remember to pack your picnic basket with food safety in mind, as foodborne bacteria that cause food poisoning (also known as foodborne illness) multiply faster in warm weather.

Concerns that students have fallen behind is evident, with only one-half of K-12 parents satisfied with the education provided, and 25% citing that their children are not prepared for the next grade.
