Measuring the attitudes of 495 educators and 1,005 parents of children with and without learning and thinking differences like ADHD and dyslexia, the study found that as a result of the pandemic, more challenges lie ahead.

Emergency Physicians to Parents and Students: Prioritize COVID Safety in Back-to-School Plans

Emergency physicians across the country are seeing surges of COVID-19 cases — particularly among unvaccinated individuals and children, therefore the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) advises parents and students to take extra precautions to protect themselves as many schools resume in-person instruction.

ACEP supports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations on how to stay safe while at school, which include:

LendingTree polled more than 1,000 parents with children under the age of 18 and found that families today are dealing with a wide range of financial stressors, including higher levels of debt, sticker shock from inflation, and longer school supply lists brought on by the pandemic.

NICB ‘Hot Spots’: Auto Thefts Up Significantly Across the Country

The National Insurance Crime Bureau’s (NICB) much anticipated Hot Spots report shows Colorado auto thefts increased by 37% in 2020 over 2019. Additionally, the Bakersfield, Calif., Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) had the highest theft rate in the country for the second consecutive year. Overall, there were 880,595 vehicle thefts nationwide in 2020, about one vehicle stolen every 36 seconds, up from 794,019 in 2019.
