CES to Open With 2,200+ In-Person Exhibitors

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today (Dec. 31, 2021) announced that CES 2022 will be closing one day early, and the in-person event will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 5-7, 2022. The step was taken as an additional safety measure to the current health protocols that have been put in place for CES.

Over 2,200 exhibitors are confirmed to exhibit in person at CES 2022. In the last two weeks, 143 additional companies have signed up to exhibit in person. Construction of exhibitors’ show floor space is well underway and soon attendees will be able to see and experience the latest tech innovations.

Sony Exhibits at CES 2022

Sony will exhibit at CES 2022, taking place in Las Vegas, Nev., and online from Wednesday, Jan. 5. Sony’s purpose is to “fill the world with emotion, through the power of creativity and technology.” Based on its corporate direction of “getting closer to people,” Sony is working to create new value that inspires people’s emotion, by getting closer to creators and users. Kenichiro Yoshida, chairman, president and CEO of Sony Group Corp., spoke at Sony’s press conference held on Jan. 4 ahead of the exhibition’s public opening, stating that, “Throughout the past two challenging years, we have reaffirmed the importance of our purpose. Official Statement from the Family of Jean-Marc Vallée in Relation to his Passing

The coroner’s preliminary report received by the family could not establish an exact cause for the sudden death of director Jean-Marc Vallée on Dec. 25 in Quebec, Canada. However, the report states that Vallée’s death was not caused by the intervention of another party, a voluntary act, or a known disease. Further in-depth analyses are underway.

“Our father was a generous man, deeply human and who lived life to its fullest,” recall his two sons, Alex and Emile. “He wanted to live a long life and was working on major projects!
