Blogger Conferences: Top Events to Attend in October

On the heels of the International Food Blogger Conference, which just wrapped in Sacramento, we’ve got some good events that should be on your radar for October.

Oct. 1-3: The Summit

The Summit is an in-depth and inspiring retreat for attendees to take a deeper dive into social media, business entrepreneurship, and PR. It’s for online influencers, social media junkies, creative entrepreneurs, business owners, and bloggers. The retreat takes place at the WaterColor Inn & Resort in the Florida gulf coast.

Oct. 5-7: Type-A DC

Type-A Parent is one of the original communities and conferences for bloggers and marketers. Type-A DC is expected to be its biggest conference of the year with 350 attendees. It will feature 3-plus days of business and social media sessions, keynotes, and networking events and parties. It will be held at the Westin in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

Oct. 13-14: WOW Summit 2017

The WOW Summit is a two-day event, filled with inspiration and education. Hundreds of moms and mom bloggers will meet for guidance and support from women who stand in their shoes. The event takes place at The Eaglewood Resort & Spa, just outside Chicago.

Oct. 13-14: Success Incubator

The Digital CoLab & ProBlogger teams have combined forces to bring attendees an epic online marketing experience. It will feature the best in online marketing professionals and present the latest trends, strategies and content to help you ‘next level’ your business. The event says it will be a life- and business-changing experience. The conference takes place at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

Oct. 14: NEPA BlogCon 2017

NEPA BlogCon is an annual, day-long conference for folks in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It draws bloggers, students, educators, coaches, marketing pros, small business owners, non-profit multitaskers, creative types, and anyone else interested in learning more about how to communicate more effectively online and make the most of the latest technology tools. BlogCon will take place at Penn State Worthington-Scranton.

Oct. 20-22: 2:1 Conference

2:1 is a faith-based conference for homeschooling parents who blog or are active in social media. The conference offers three business breakout tracks – business & blogging, social media, and hands-on workshops. The conference takes place at the Westin Dulles in Herndon, Va.

Oct. 21: TECHmunch Southern California

TECHmunch will bring you up-to-speed on everything new in recipe video, food photography, and monetization. The full-day event will be packed with networking, educational sessions, tastings and demos — all designed to take your content to the next level. The conference takes place at the Canon Experience Center in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Oct. 28: #WeAllGrowFamilia

This invite-only event is for Latina bloggers and creators who are part of the parenting segment and also represent fashion, beauty, food, entertainment, travel, tech, and social causes. You can request an invite through the site. The event takes place at the Munchkin headquarters in Van Nuys, Calif.

Nov. 9-12: 2017 Wine Bloggers Conference

The wine bloggers conference is for bloggers and writers, who write about wine or the wine industry and who wish to network with other new media and learn from experts in writing, technology, and social media. It’s also for wine industry bloggers, who maintain a blog to support their winery or other wine-related business. The conference also is for wine industry members, who would like to learn about new media and interact with bloggers. The event takes place in Santa Rosa, Calif.
