Blog Profiles: Glamping Blogs
Welcome to Blog Profiles! Each week, we select a topic and handful of blogs that do a great job contributing to the conversation. This week’s roundup focuses on a few unique glamping blogs. Do you have a blog that deserves recognition? Tweet our writers at @BeyondBylines.
Last month, I spent a week at a little cabin in the woods with friends and family.
Between the toasty campfires and the smell of crisp, fallen leaves, I can’t help but love some woods in the fall.
This recent excursion got me thinking about other outdoor trips I’d love to plan: a treehouse adventure and a road trip by camper.
Here are some glamping blogs I’m reading to learn more about treehouse travel and other fancy camping retreats.
1. Nelson Treehouse Blog
The Nelson Treehouse Blog is a site by the Nelson Family — Pete, his wife Judy, and their three adult children.
They have a treehouse design/build firm and a treehouse B&B. You also may recognize them from Animal Planet’s now-ended show Treehouse Masters.
“We work together, along with our extraordinary staff, to bring the magic of treehouses to folks around the world,” Pete Nelson says, on the site.
Check out the full list of treehouses available for visiting. They’re incredible. I also loved their tips for packing a picnic.

2. Glamping Hub
Glamping Hub is a unique booking site with the “largest collection of unique nature-based accommodations with emphasis on a five-star experience.”
The blog encourages you to wildly explore.
A recent post covers the benefits of adding a glamping spot to a campground and how to do it. And I’ll be bookmarking this list of romantic glamping getaways.

3. Sunset | Camping Guide
Sunset Magazine has a pretty hefty blog about camping on its site. It covers glamping and camping by region, type, no reservations, and more.
This list of Top 11 Modern Glampgrounds will have you itching to book a trip. But, make sure you have all the best glamping supplies before you go.

4. Glamping.com
Glamping.com is “the world’s foremost authority of everything glamping,” according to the site. It features destinations, property listings, glamping types, and a blog with the latest industry news. Although it hasn’t had a new post since 2020, we still find its content worthy of inclusion on this list.
A Short History of Glamping Tents was an interesting read. I mean, how dreamy is that honeymoon tent?
The site also has an entire section dedicated to its obsession with treehouses. You have to see some of these destinations.
