Upcoming Blogger Events: August

Aug. 10-11: Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference

The Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference is in its eighth year; it began in Boulder, Colo. in 2010.  The conference attracts roughly 150 attendees from across North America to network, learn, and taste beer. This conference is for citizen and industry bloggers, writers, social media influencers who write about beer, and beer industry officials who would like to learn about digital media or interact with its writing community. The conference will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Sterling, Va.

Aug. 11: Simply LA

The Simply Conference has one main goal: To connect individuals and give them the tools they need to succeed in the fashion and beauty industry. Topics that will be covered include growing your engagement, interpreting analytics, marketing, landing your first deal, SEO, and monetizing your influence. The conference takes place in downtown Los Angeles.

Aug. 16: TECHmunch San Francisco

TECHmunch returns to San Francisco for a full day of networking, educational sessions, tastings, and demos — all designed to help you take your content creation and monetization efforts to the next level. The meeting will include fast-paced sessions to help you optimize everything, from working with brands to producing great videos, photos, podcasts, and digital cookbooks. The meeting takes place at Women’s Building on 18th Street.

Aug. 24-26: International Food Blogger Conference

The 2018 International Food Blogger Conference is expected to draw approximately 200 food bloggers, writers, social media gurus, food industry members, and others for three days of content, excursions, fun, and food. This year marks the group’s 10th year in operation. The meeting takes place at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans in the heart of the French Quarter.

Sept. 14: Bloggy Conference

Bloggy Conference emerged in 2011 as an extension of the Bloggy Moms Network. The conference aims to help attendees grow, network, and participate in education of the ever-changing social media world. The meeting will take place at the Hotel Breakers, just steps from Cedar Point in Ohio.

Sept. 20-21: Confluence

Confluence is a digital marketing conference for specialists, jacks-of-all-trades, and managers. “We’re for digital entrepreneurs and small business owners, and we’re for marketing departments big and small,” the site says. “We invite speakers whose lessons will apply whether your job is more technical or more creative.” The meeting takes place at Tower Theatre in Oklahoma City.

Sept. 20-22: TravelCon

TravelCon is a three-day meeting to connect attendees with industry leaders, influencers, and celebrated writers through keynote speeches, small group writing and photography workshops, breakout tutorial sessions, and industry panels. You will learn what’s working in today’s competitive travel industry, timeless business practices, and the skills you need to succeed as a creator. The conference takes place at the JW Marriott in Austin.
