Let’s dive in.
Jan. 5-8: CES
CES is “the most influential tech event in the world.” It will be returning to Las Vegas in 2023 for a live, in-person event. More than 2,000 exhibitors from all over the world will meet with hundreds of media attendees to discuss how their innovations are addressing global challenges. Sustainability is a key focus of the 2023 event. Other topics will include 5G, vehicle tech, cryptocurrency, digital health, the metaverse, and more.

Jan. 23-25: Affiliate Summit West
Mass publishers and bloggers alike will head to Las Vegas to attend Affiliate Summit West. Build new partnerships and learn new ways to build traffic to your site. The content tracks include eCommerce, Content & Commerce, a Publisher Demo, and more.
Jan. 25: Visual Storytelling: the challenges faced by journalists working with images
Images can arguably be more powerful than text, but widespread concerns about disinformation and manipulated photos and videos present challenges to visual journalists. This webinar, hosted by Media Defence, will feature an expert panel of visual journalists and those who defend them.
Jan. 25-26: IMM North America
Travel journalists, editors, influencers, and broadcasters can connect with the travel industry at the 11th annual International Media Marketplace. The event will take place in New York City and is a “must-attend annual event for media relationship-building and networking opportunities.” Sustainability and Indigenous tourism are just a few of the topics that will be covered in sessions at the event.
Jan. 28-29: Novel Writing Virtual Conference
Tune into this virtual event from Writer’s Digest to hear insights from six award-winning and best-selling authors on the finer points of how to write a novel. At the end, if you feel ready to pitch your novel, a bonus webinar will offer help for crafting a query letter for agents – and you’ll get feedback from an agent! Session topics will cover ways to incorporate everything from food to conflict and emotion into your writing.
Jan. 31-Feb. 1: Lenfest News Philanthropy Summit
Register now for this “free virtual gathering focused on the transformative work of fundraising in sustaining essential journalism.” Workshops, keynotes, and more will be available to attendees looking at how to transform philanthropy for news organizations. Feb. 1-3: The Southern C Summit
The Southern C Summit welcomes female entrepreneurs for three days of workshops, mentor sessions, social gatherings, and (back by popular demand) a silent disco.
