We still have a month left in 2024, but 2025 already has a well-developed schedule of unique events for journalists and bloggers. So start the new year off on the right foot by getting ahead on your schedule.
Dive into the list of events below and find the perfect learning opportunity for you. Whether you write about tech, fitness, travel or food, or are an investigative journalist, there’s something for you coming up in 2025.

Multiple 2025 Dates: Pinners Conference & Expo
A full slate of these events for DIYers, crafters, photographers, and other creatives is available for 2025. The Pinners Conference schedule will kick off in January in Overland Park, Kansas, and make its way around the country, ending in Scottsdale, Arizona, in November. Check out the full schedule to see which city and date work for you.
Jan. 7-10: CES
CES is “the most influential tech event in the world.” It will return to Las Vegas in 2025 for a live, in-person event. Thousands of exhibitors from all over the world will meet with hundreds of media attendees to discuss how their innovations are building a better world. The 2025 event’s theme is “Dive In.” Check out first-time exhibitors like Oshkosh Corporation and Komatsu, or attend Delta Air Lines’ keynote presentation at the Sphere. Expect the latest advancements in fields like digital health, AI, sustainability, gaming, vehicle tech, cybersecurity, beauty and fashion tech, space tech and more.
Jan. 19-21: Tastemaker Conference
This popular food blogger event will take place in Las Vegas. Attendees will be treated to meals (of course), swag bags, workshops, panels, and food excursions around the amazing Las Vegas food scene. The 2025 event will co-locate with the Fancy Food Show to help attendees “grow your food content in diversified ways, and actually have access to resources and people that can help you scale.” Sessions will cover SEO, content creation, revenue growth and more helpful topics for food bloggers.
Feb. 3-5: Affiliate Summit West
Mass publishers and bloggers alike will head to Las Vegas to attend Affiliate Summit West. Build new partnerships and learn new ways to build traffic to your site. The seven content tracks include Content & Commerce, Lead Gen, Brand Strategy and Ecommerce. The full 2025 agenda is TBD.
Feb. 10-12: Design Influencers Leadership Conference
Design influencers and interior design bloggers and writers will head to beautiful Napa, California, for this years conference. Topics like social media, affiliate marketing, brand growth and legal tips for influencers are included on the schedule. Other bonuses include one-on-one private brand/design influencer meetings and a genius bar for digital marketing and social media guidance.
Feb. 27-March 1: WORKBENCHcon
WORKBENCHcon is a “growing network of diyers, makers, influencers & bloggers discovering new techniques, products and skills all while learning how to take their businesses to the next level.” Sessions will cover topics like techniques for using tools and new equipment, skills for video production, and business practices for the content creator, with more to come. It will be held in Atlanta.
March 6-8: ACP Spring National College Media Conference
The Associated College Press (ACP) is heading to Long Beach, California, for its Spring National College Media Conference. The event provides collegiate journalists and advisers with helpful sessions, critiques, advice and feedback. “With dozens of learning sessions from experienced journalism professionals and advisers, the conference gives you that much-needed boost to conclude the academic year and prepare you for what’s ahead.”
March 6-9: NICAR 2025
The 2025 data journalism conference will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The event will offer “everything from the basics on using spreadsheets, databases and online mapping to data visualization and the latest technological advances.” The session schedule is TBD and full session and speaker details will be released in early 2025.
March 7-15: SXSW
SXSW will welcome a diverse group of innovators, storytellers, humanitarians, and global thought leaders back to Austin, Texas, for 9 days of collaboration. AI, climate change, civic engagement, the creator economy and startups are just a few of the 23 curated tracks available to attendees.
March 7-9: IDEA Health and Fitness Summit
This event is a great option for fitness bloggers and vloggers. They can connect with other personal trainers, entrepreneurs and business owners and learn new strategies to create change and get noticed in a crowded marketplace. Topics cover training techniques, nutrition, training science and professional development. The 2025 event will take place in Denver, Colorado.
March 14-17: Alt Summit
Head to Palm Springs for the 2025 Alt Summit, which brings together thousands of women influencers and entrepreneurs and provides a “physical gathering place for that community and then incredible things happen.” The full 2025 schedule is TBD, but past years have included sessions on social media, content monetization, audience building and more.
April 9-13: International Journalism Festival
Perugia, Italy, will again host the International Journalism Festival, the largest annual media event in Europe. The schedule is still being finalized, but to give you an idea of what’s covered, the 2024 conference focused on topics like elections, AI, journalist safety, misinformation and news avoidance. Speaker proposals will be accepted through the end of 2024.
April 23-27: Craftcation
Calling all craft bloggers! Craftcation offers attendees more than 200 craft and business workshops. Visitors will “explore dozens of genres in our hands-on workshops where you’ll get instruction and inspiration to find your creative flow.” While the full schedule is TBD, past workshops have covered everything from sewing to screenprinting, perfume making, knitting, shoe making, mixed media art and painting. The event will take place in Ventura, California.
May 16-18: Women in Travel Summit
Creative entrepreneurs, influencers and travel experts will head to New York City for WITS 2025. They will “discuss future innovations, build dynamic collaborations, and change travel worldwide, all while supporting and empowering a diverse community.” Discussions will center around elevating women and underrepresented creators as well as current issues in travel. June 11-14: Craft + Commerce
Boise, Idaho, will host the event where “top online creators gather to help grow their businesses.” Inspiring keynotes, intimate workshops and plenty of networking opportunities will round out the schedule. Topics like SEO, design, photography, newsletters and more have been featured in previous years; the full 2025 schedule is still being finalized.
July 16-19: TBEX North America
Travel content creators will attend TBEX to boost their writing, photography and video skills; network with other creators, travel experts and tourist boards; and more. Dozens of workshops, sessions, and forums will fill the schedule. TBEX North America will take place in Quebec City, Canada, a top travel destination and the only walled city north of Mexico.
Aug. 18-21: Podcast Movement
Thousands of podcasters and industry pros will head to Dallas, Texas, for the 12th annual Podcast Movement. The four days will include dozens of educational sessions and workshops, networking events and parties, and a podcasting expo and trade show.
Sept. 10-13: ONA25
The Online News Association’s annual event focuses on the future of digital media and will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Attendees range from digital media audience and analytics professionals to news product, strategy, and business executives and entrepreneurs.
Sept. 21-23: Travel & Words Conference
The Northwest Travel & Lifestyle Writers Conference “offers a multi-faceted conference for travel journalists interested in exploring Northwest destinations.” It aims to build connections between travel journalists and destination marketers through one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities. Presentations by tourism experts, workshops and a guided tour are also on the schedule. The event will take place in Medford, Oregon.
Nov. 10-13: Web Summit
The 2024 event may have wrapped, but you can already start prepping for Web Summit 2025. The “world’s premier tech conference” will take place in Lisbon, Portugal. Educational masterclasses and roundtables will be available at the event, which aims to “gather policymakers, heads of state and the founders and CEOs of technology companies and fast-growing startups to ask a simple question: Where to next?”
TBD: Global Investigative Journalism Conference
GIJC25, the world’s largest international gathering of investigative reporters and editors, will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2025. It will feature training on the latest investigative tools and techniques, cutting-edge workshops, and extensive networking and brainstorming sessions.
