United Van Lines’ Annual National Movers Study Shows Oregon Increases Lead as Top Moving Destination for 2014

Oregon holds on to its title as “Top Moving Destination” and continues to pull away from the pack, while the Northeast loses residents for the third consecutive year.

Those are the key findings from United Van Lines’ 38th Annual National Movers Study, which tracks customers’ migration patterns state-to-state during the course of the past year.

The study found that Oregon is the top moving destination of 2014, with 66 percent of moves to and from the state being inbound – that’s a nearly 5 percent increase of inbound moves compared with 2013. Arriving at No. 2 on the list was South Carolina (61 percent), followed closely in third by its northern neighbor, North Carolina (61 percent). See the full release to learn more.

Mercedes-Benz USA Announces Move of Corporate Headquarters to Atlanta

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) announced on Jan. 6 that it will relocate its corporate headquarters to Atlanta, in a move designed to better serve its growing customer base and strengthen the company’s position for long-term, sustainable growth.

MBUSA executives and staff will relocate from its primary facility in Montvale, N.J., to a temporary facility in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter on an interim basis. The company will construct a new, state-of-the-art headquarters expected to be completed in early 2017.

Antoine’s Celebrates 175 Years of Culinary Tradition

Antoine’s – an icon and a standard bearer for traditional French Creole culinary traditions in America – will commemorate its 175th anniversary in 2015 with a year of special events, menus and celebrations inside the walls of its fabled French Quarter dining rooms, as well as in other markets around the country.

The legendary New Orleans restaurant is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in America, the birthplace of Oysters Rockefeller, and remains owned by the same family that started it nearly two centuries ago.

“Dinner at Antoine’s” is such an experience that those three words fittingly served as the title to a famous novel, and the restaurant’s namesake is considered “the father of Creole cooking.” See the full release and video to learn more.
