Are you trying to live greener? And no, we’re not talking about gardening (though it’s one of our favorite topics).

We’re talking about the desire to do better with sustainable living and being more eco-conscious. With Earth Day approaching (April 22), this topic is on our minds.

If greener living is one of your goals, this week’s blog roundup is for you. We’re looking at some green living blogs that will help you get there.

1. RecycleNation

RecycleNation is a green-living focused site that helps “businesses, consumers, local, state, and federal government entities, as well as non-profit organizations enhance their sustainability and circular economy goals and initiatives.”

Its recycling location database contains more than 100,000 unique data points for over 50 different items, helping customers find the right place to recycle their items. Clearing out the house and spring cleaning? No problem. Have some extra shopping bags that you’d like to recycle? Got it.

2. Ecocult

Ecocult provides news about sustainable fashion and travel. It was created by Alden Wicker in 2013 and has since grown to feature a half-dozen regular contributors.

In addition to fashion and travel, Ecocult topics also cover NYC, beauty, food, apartments, weddings, and sustainable shopping.

3. Eartheasy

Eartheasy aims to “encourage, inspire and inform people about the benefits of a simpler, less material lifestyle, and the importance of protecting our natural environment as the source of our well-being.”

The blog was created by Greg Seaman and although he has a lot of experience and advice for living a rural lifestyle, the information on his blog can be applied to any setting. Articles and guides are in-depth, ensuring you have all the info you need on one page.

4. Insteading

If you want to find a place that features news about homesteading and sustainability, meet Insteading.

“Insteading helps people on their journey to live a more positive life — positive for themselves, for their neighbors, and for the world around them,” the site says. “As the world awakens to the need to transition away from fossil fuels, people are making alternative choices with the clothes they wear, the products they buy, and the transportation choices they make.”
