Dem Convention, Day 2: The Work Continues
The PR Newswire Audience Relations team is covering the DNC! Follow us for a behind-the-scenes look.
The excitement is building in Philadelphia.
More and more familiar faces are popping up around the Wells Fargo Center, and the team has noticed. (How can you not, when you’re actually sitting beside Jerry Springer?)
The speaker lineup on Day 2 featured some great people, including former President Bill Clinton, actress Meryl Streep, singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, former Vermont Governor Howard Dean, and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
PR Newswire audience relations managers Anna Jasinski and Christine Cube made the rounds in the Media Compound, meeting the fine folks at several news agencies, including CNN, ABC, and CBS.
Several journalists from each news agency requested to be added to the official convention newsfeed.
Then the pair went on to a panel called Young Women Rising: America’s Next Top Voter, hosted by The Atlantic and Refinery29 at the Field House in Philadelphia. For live coverage, Jasinski has been tweeting over @PRNPolicy and @annamjasinski; Cube is tweeting over @cpcube,
The panel included Georgia General Assembly House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams; Refinery29 Global News Executive Editor Kaelyn Forde; Young Invincibles Executive Director Jen Mishory; Boston City Councilor-At Large Ayanna Pressley; actress and director Amber Tamblyn; and Alex Wagner, senior editor with The Atlantic.
