It’s earnings season.
Like many journalists, you’re likely sifting through long statements and charts, seeking other filings, cross-checking numbers, and dissecting the content.
Nowadays, releases also come with new bits of information – infographics or a CEO video of how the company performed for the quarter.
If you’d like to weigh in on what you’d like to see in earnings releases, take our one-question survey.
The Skinny on Financials
If you’re not already a member of PR Newswire for Journalists, signing up is easy. Just visit the home page and select “Get Started Now.”
Once you’re a member, setting up a financial newsfeed is easy.
Visit the “My PR Newswire” tab, and click on “Create New Profile.” Give your profile a name, and you’ll end up in the customization dashboard.
This queue will allow you to edit the type of news you seek.
For example, if you cover just one or two major companies, you can filter your newsfeed to show only that company’s news. To do this, simply add their names to the company field.
Quick tip: Make sure to select “yes” under “Link address to this profile?” to get notifications of the news.
