Donut Blogs we love

I enjoy sweets.

I found this write-up on Thrillist – a list of The Best Donut Shop in Every State — and it made me happy that I agree with Virginia’s selection. (Sugar Shack indeed is amazing.)

So this week, I’d like to highlight some awesome donut blogs. Because, come on. Donuts.

1. Donuts by Notey

To be fair, Notey isn’t a standard blog.

It’s actually more like a blog aggregator, or as Notey explains it: “Notey features the best of first-hand content across thousands of lifestyle publications and blogs. Our technology ensures that every feed is always fresh, unique, and personally suited to you.”

But, gosh, the donut content. It’s pretty amazing.

Notable posts include The Donut & Beer Fest is Back (and honestly, if I was in Melbourne, there’s not a chance that I’d miss this), LA’s Famous Randy’s Donuts is Giving Away 1,000 Free Doughnuts Today, and German Vanilla Glazed Crullers { Eberswalder Spritzkuchen }.

2. I Live Donuts

I Live Donuts celebrates everything donuts.

Like other blogs on this list, the site posts irregularly, but each one counts.

I liked several write-ups – and the art was really easy on the eyes.

Some of the posts that drew me in: The Tastiest Guide of Donuts Around the World, 5 Food Swaps Where You Should Eat the Donut Instead, and Legends and Myths: Discovering Why Donuts Have Holes.

3. Modern Donut

If you want decadence delivered, hit up Modern Donut.

This e-commerce site not only delivers these sugary confections, it also writes a blog.

Some of the posts I enjoyed on the site include 9 of the Best Tumblr Posts About Donuts, The Difference Between Yeast and Cake Donuts, and Top 6 Summer Selections.

4. Donut Digest

Donut Digest is brought to you by “two Dallas-Fort Worth transplants by way of the Windy City.”

“We love donuts (and we’re guessing you do, too),” the blog says.

The donut-y goodness is real here. I’m still catching up, but I’m hoping to run into some of the donuts on the 2016 Best 9 Donuts list.

And, if you’re looking for some good Texas donut shops, you can read up ahead of time and check out a review on Donut Digest. Here’s Crunch Donut Factory and Rise Biscuits & Donuts.
