Vox: Benji Jones has joined Vox as a reporter in a new biodiversity reporting initiative. He comes from Business Insider, where he was most recently an energy reporter and video producer for science before that. Prior to that, Jones was a freelancer and wrote for The New York Times Magazine, Smithsonian, National Geographic, and Quartz.
Axios: Stephen Totilo has joined Axios as gaming editor to launch a gaming newsletter expected to launch later this spring. Totilo is the former editor in chief of the gaming industry site Kotaku and led the site for 12 years. Before that, he spent four years at MTV News as a reporter.
Los Angeles Times: Jenn Harris is the new food columnist at the Los Angeles Times. She has worked at the paper for more than 10 years, starting as a writer and producer in the feature sections. Harris moved to the Food section in 2012 and has since served as deputy food editor, acting food editor, and most recently as senior food writer, video host, and producer.
