Shoppers may be writing longer “nice” lists for gifts and gatherings this holiday season, according to Deloitte’s 33rd annual “Holiday Survey” of consumer spending intentions and trends.
A new report from personal finance website GOBankingRates revealed that 32 percent of Americans – nearly a third of respondents – have no money in their savings accounts. GOBankingRates conducts this survey each year to better understand Americans’ personal financial standing. Since 2015, the results have shown that the majority of Americans have less than $1,000 in savings — and that trend continues into 2018.
Eataly announced on Oct. 23 it will open its Las Vegas location at Park MGM, the city’s newest resort, in December. Las Vegas marks the sixth U.S. location of the Italy-based company, which has more than 35 stores worldwide.
On Oct. 23, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced the preliminary Top 10 most frequently cited workplace safety violations for fiscal year 2018. Patrick Kapust, deputy director of OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs, presented the Top 10 on the expo floor as part of the 2018 NSC Congress & Expo, the world’s largest annual gathering of safety professionals.
