This advancement opens new possibilities for the more than 100 million Americans living with obesity. Wegovy® pill was approved on December 22, 2025 and is used with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity for adults with obesity, or with overweight who also have weight-related medical problems, to help them lose weight and keep it off.

3. Retirees Say $824,000 Is Needed to Retire Comfortably — but Average Just $289,000 in Savings
According to a new report from Clever Real Estate, a St. Louis-based real estate company, that estimate has risen sharply from last year, when retirees said an average of $580,310 was enough to retire. Meanwhile, the average retiree’s savings is $20,000 less than last year ($308,040), and nearly a third (29%) report having no retirement savings at all.
The majority of retirees (55%) say they’re prioritizing preserving their finances over enjoying retirement, with 67% spending more than they planned on groceries and 60% spending more than expected on insurance.

With its increased footprint, by the end of 2026, ALDI will operate a total store count of nearly 2,800, pushing it closer to its goal of 3,200 stores by the end of 2028. The growth plans are the company’s answer to sustained demand for its simple, affordable shopping experience, with 17 million new customers visiting stores in 2025. ALDI is also sharing plans to make shopping online even more seamless for U.S. customers in 2026 with a new digital experience.
