National Parks Blogs We Love -

Visiting a national park is such a wonderful experience.

When my daughter was younger, we would visit our local national park most weekends for a family hike.

The air is crisp and clear, and the smells of the forest are a welcome break from the busy hustle and bustle.

1. The National Parks Girl

Sonja, from Seattle, Washington, works in an office but uses her weekends and time off to explore the outdoors.

Tank Lakes: An Overnight in Alpine Lakes Wilderness; Telaquana to Turquoise: Backpacking in Lake Clark National Park; and New Zealand Magic: Hiking the Gillespie Track are great reads.

2. Journey to All National Parks

Sidney is making her way through visiting all of the U.S. national parks. It sounds like a pretty amazing endeavor to me.

Check out Great Basin National Park: Caves, Old Trees, and Dark Sky; North Cascades National Park: Few Official Visitors But So Much to See; and Grand Teton National Park: Majestic Mountain and So Much More.

3. Switchback Kids

Missourians Elizabeth and Cole left their jobs to spend five days in each of the 59 national parks. I’m personally a little partial to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as I live near it and have visited it many times.

Bryce Canyon National Park; Redwood National Park; and Great Smoky Mountains are great posts with amazing photos and videos.
